Our mission is to improve the quality of the health care experience for women while offering therapies proven to extend the lives of women with and without heart disease.
We are a multidisciplinary team at the USC Women’s Cardiovascular Center, comprised of physicians and nurse practitioners who aim to provide you with comprehensive cardiac care, such as in preventive cardiology or treating established cardiac disease processes. These include, but are not limited to, hypertension, high cholesterol, valve disease, coronary artery disease, heart failure and arrhythmias. Your initial visit with us will include an extensive review of your medical history, a thorough physical exam and screening for risk factors that can put you at risk for heart disease.
During your clinic appointment with the physician and nurse practitioner, the team may order one of more of the examinations below to further evaluate your risk for cardiac disease or assess your current condition:
- Cardiac Catheterization
- Cardiac CT and MRI
- Electrocardiogram (EKG)
- Lab work
- Nuclear Stress Test
- Vascular Ultrasound
